Dear friends,
You are invited to participate in our regular event, the Association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), being held at the MCCSA, 113 Gilbert Street, Adelaide, on Saturday, 1st of March at 4:30 PM.
This is an important event on the Association’s calendar as all positions in the Committee of the Association will become vacant on the day of the AGM, and a new Committee will be formed. We are always on the lookout for new Committee members. If you can spare time and are interested in giving back to your community, please consider joining the Committee.
In addition, a summary of ACASA’s performance in the past year will be presented, along with highlights of events from 2024 in a visually enjoyable format.
Following the formalities of the AGM, a friendly Get-Together will follow. Please bring food and drinks to share. We welcome your feedback on the Association’s performance and your ideas for the future.

- Please respect the commencement time of the AGM at 4:30 PM.
- Arrive on time to familiarise yourself with the Minutes of the Meeting and the Financial Statement. The venue will be open from 4:00 PM.

RESPECTING COUNTRY PARADE 2025

Dear Community Members,
We have exciting news to share! For the first time, the Armenian Cultural Association of South Australia has been brought forward in the parade line-up.
We will be second, right after the Brazilian community festively opening the parade, followed by the vibrant Colombian community. Both groups are known for their bright and entertaining presence.
So bring it on – wear your best outfit, put on your brightest smile, and let’s make Armenia proud!
Event Details:
- Date: Sunday, 26 January 2025
- Parade Position: A2
- Arrival Time: 5:00 PM at Adelaide Oval, South Gate. Complimentary sandwiches and drinks will be provided by the Australia Day Council SA from 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM (to be consumed ONLY outside the Oval).
- Group Entry: At 5:30 PM, we will move into the assembly area together (inside Adelaide Oval).
- Assembly Location: Bay 120, from 5:30 PM – 6:15 PM.
- Parade Start: 7:00 PM
- Parade Route: Starting at Adelaide Oval, crossing War Memorial Drive, traveling across the footbridge, and concluding at Elder Park/Tarntanya Wama.

Bring your picnic gear and snacks to make the most of the evening!
Dress Code
- Wear traditional Armenian attire (taraz) or outfits/T-shirts in the colours of the Armenian flag: red, blue, or orange.
- If you don’t have taraz, we have a limited supply of Armenian T-shirts kindly donated by a community member. Contact us in advance to borrow one. Don’t leave this to the last minute, as we will not be able to assist you.
Flags and Decorations
Feel free to bring small handheld flags or decorations to add to the festive atmosphere.
Only one national flag per community is permitted; the Association will bring one Armenian and one Australian flag.
Special Cultural Display
As part of our cultural showcase, we will feature limited props honouring Sergei Parajanov, the legendary Armenian, Soviet film director and screenwriter.
Transport and Parking
- Use public transport to the CBD or park at:
- U-Parks in the CBD
- Convention Centre Car Park
- Walk across the Torrens Footbridge to Adelaide Oval, South Gate for parade participation or Elder park if you prefer to be a spectator. Don’t forget to take lots of photos.

His Eminence’s Visit to Adelaide

We are honoured to host His Eminence Archbishop Haigazun Najarian, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Australia and New Zealand, in Adelaide on 6-7th December, alongside distinguished church leaders from Sydney.
This visit is a great opportunity to come together in prayer, gratitude and unity as we celebrate our shared faith and traditions.

After the Divine Liturgy, we will have afternoon tea in the church courtyard. Please bring along some snacks and hot or cold beverages to share!

This special concert brings together an exceptional ensemble of professional musicians under the direction of the remarkable Minas Berberyan and features the talented tenor Tasso Bouyessis.
